Cozy Dresses for the Cold

Dresses may not have been the first thing that sprang to your mind for cold mornings in the past. However, with life still taking place indoors this winter, you can pull off a dress. Long-sleeved winter dresses with longer hemlines are warm enough to wear outside if you need to do errands, but they are also comfortable enough to wear at home. Women's winter dresses are fantastic because they can be layered with tights, thermals, and thick socks beneath boots to keep you warm without sacrificing an item you like wearing all year.

Between November and February, depending on where you live the cold can be harsh, but before you restrict yourself to just a few winter clothes, let me make the argument for wearing dresses this season. Thick knits, long sleeves, and turtlenecks are all cute additions to your wardrobe. The initial months of the pandemic necessitated a constant onslaught of comfort-first clothing, but now people are going out and traveling. Getting ready for the day in an outfit you would wear to work or out with friends might help you gain mental clarity and strength. Instead of rocking some warm leggings and an oversized sweatshirt, spice up your outfit with a cozy dress.

Combinations of feeling warm and looking good for a night out are not impossible. Knit dresses, like the breezy materials and shoulder-baring silhouettes of summer, have intrinsic ease that makes them particularly desirable throughout the fall and winter months. As well as, provide a lot of versatility, whether you are wearing it on a Friday night, to work, or running errands. The sweater dress's worldwide appeal is aided by the wide number of forms and designs available, which vary from classics like the examples I am going to list below.

Belted

While sweater dresses are going to keep you warm this winter, certain styles lack the definition needed to flatter everyone’s bodies. Adding a belt or having belted designs can create the illusion of a smaller waist. As for colors, I prefer neutral colors whether they are patterned or not.

Cardigan

A sweater dress is a staple item for the cold and you can not go wrong with a cardigan dress. The buttons all the way down the dress adds a little detail to a simple dress. The colors for the cardigan dress I prefer is a pastel color, you can do black but break it up and add some lightness to a very light dress.

Neckline: High

A high-neck sweater dress is a must for keeping warm. Whether the dress is a mini or midi style dress adding a high neckline gives it a cozier look. As well as, having long sleeves means you can wear this type of dress without having to layer because you are already covered up, but of course the colder night to come and a long faux fur coat is the right addition to the outfit.

Polo

The 1970s influence this season is all across the board and when it comes to the dress, the polo or collard knit dresses are stylish. Choose from any color, any style, any material and you will rock the 70s look.
