Met Gala: The Good, The Bad and the Confusing

It’s back again and celebrities are dressed to impress. The Met Gala was held last night on September 13th when it is usually held on the first Monday in May, but it was postponed this year due to COVID-19, and it occurred during fashion month, raising the stakes for stellar red-carpet attire. With New York Fashion Week just ending, the biggest night in fashion took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night. The dinner was held in honor of the Costume Institute's newest exhibition, "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,".

There were plenty of celebrities walking the Met steps, including Timothée Chalamet, Addison Rae Naomi Osaka, Emma Chamberlain, Amanda Gorman, and Dixie D’Amelio. The gala red carpet looks from Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian had me in awe. While this year's Met Gala encouraged participants to think about American fashion first and foremost. The exhibition and topic, "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion," evoke feelings of pleasure, rebellion, and nostalgia, which were reflected in the many looks on display today.

This night was filled with influencers and their outfits gave me so many questions, some disappointments, and some jaw-dropping reactions. This year was the most diverse group I have seen based on actors, music artists and social media influencers, and athletes. The looks this year are ranging from gorgeous to what were you thinking and here are just some of the looks.
